Questions

Where can I get a copy of deliberateLIFE Magazine?

There are three ways to access deliberateLIFE:

How do I get the free 1-month trial?

Download the deliberateLIFE app from iTunes or the Google Play Store. Then push the yellow subscribe button in the top right corner. Choose a subscription plan to start your free 1-month trial. Your credit card will not be charged until after the free trial is over (and you’ll get an e-mail before Apple charges your card). So check out the magazine and tell us what you think!

How do you decide what is a worthy/ valid choice to make/ suggest?

We’re on a mission to make it easier to make ‘good’ choices. We define good to mean either a neutral impact (you aren’t harming yourself, others, or the planet in any way) or having a positive impact (either with local or global implications). We are systems thinkers – so we’re looking at the plus and minuses of different behaviors, policies, and products to make sure that we’ve thought through the implications of what we recommend. We know that the world is complex but we don’t want to get paralyzed by that fact.  We’re doing our best to make it easier for you to do good – we’ll do our part so that you can do yours.

How do you decide who to profile or what products to promote?

The content we produce for each issue comes from a series of contributors who share our passions for social change, sustainable living, healthy relationships, and innovative solutions. We strive to bring content that will inspire and activate our readers. We do not receive payment in exchange for reviews or highlights. We review products and feature people because they really are doing a great job. And for all contributions and articles received, our Editor vets the content based on her background in the social change space to make sure you are always receiving quality content that isn’t ‘green washed’ or just hype.

How do I navigate between pages and share content with others?

It is easy to share or save content via Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or e-mail. You can even save information from an article into Evernote for future reference. Use these quick navigation tips or click here for a full preview of our navigation tips.

Do you plan to do print additions?

In the future we may sell select issues in print format.  However, we chose the tablet format for two reasons - we want to reduce waste and build a global community. In the US alone, we throw away 2.5 million tons of magazines each year - that’s enough to fill 7 giant football stadiums with paper waste -- a YEAR! By publishing on a tablet we don’t need to feel bad about the size of our distribution - the more the merrier!

We are also building a global community – because tablets are sold around the world, it allows us to begin conversations across borders. deliberateLIFE has been download in 52 countries, and we are excited to see how we can build a better tomorrow together.

Also, being a digital publication means we have lower overhead and higher margins which allows us to give a percentage of our profits to groups who are making a difference.

I just received an e-mail from Apple saying that my credit card is going to be charged for my deliberateLIFE subscription, but I subscribed over a month ago. Am I being charged twice?

No. When you push subscribe, we offer you the option of one-month free. If you chose this option, your credit card associated with your iTunes account is not charged until the one-month free or trial is over. Similarly for those who have used a current subscriber code – your iTunes account will only be charged when the coupon code expires.

How do I cancel my Magazine subscription?
